We will then move inside for tack.

 

Horses start @ 3:00 pm. More quarter horses and a Belgian mare were consigned last night. Hoping for lots more this morning!

669                         CONNIE’S APRIL: 3 year old black Percheron mare. Registration #307157. Bred to Hidden Y’s Spirit’s Elimanator, registration #298194. Mare is broke to ride and drive. Doing well with just 30 days under saddle. Consigned by Deanna Pahl.

670 & 671             MARK & MERLE: 7 and 8 year old Halflinger geldings. Full brothers. Broke to farm machinery. Consigned by Ernie Petersheim.

672 & 673             DONNA & DOLLY: 5 and 7 year old Belgian mares. Sorrel with light mane and tail. Well broke to most farm machinery. Work with snap. Traffic safe and sound. Consigned by John Hochstetler.

674                         MAY: 3 year old blonde Belgian mare. May is a full sister to Duke. She is not quite as aggressive as Duke by she is not slow. Has been used in most farm machinery without a problem. This is a well-built mare and a good worker. Consigned by Albert H. Yoder.

675                         DUKE: 4 year old blonde Belgian gelding, full brother to May. Duke has been used in most all farm machinery, such as hay mower, hay loader, grain binder, etc. He is a little skittish around noisy machinery but will usually quite down after a while. If you need a good puller with lots of pep he is the horse for you. Consigned by Albert H. Yoder.

676: 4 year old registered blonde Belgian gelding. Stripe and white mane and tail. 17.3 HH. Broke to all farm machinery. Consigned by Eli Hochstetler.

July 2013 Sale Results

Another great sale, with great prospects for our buyers!

A Halflinger that will make a driving or pulling prospect sold for $675.

We had a beautiful breeding prospect in an 18 year old dun AQHA stallion.

Our high seller of this month’s sale was a 4 year old registered grullo mare.

She sold for $1,300.

A 14 year old registered AQHA sold for $950.

Beautiful 8 year old chestnut AQHA mare sold for $850.

A cute gray pony gelding sold for $500.

We had a TWH/quarter pony cross gelding sell for $300.

There were two for one deals at this sale for those who were looking to raise a foal.

One full size sold for $275,

We had 10 lots of hay (total of 519 bales) that sold between $2.00 and $5.50 a bale, which averaged out to $3.47 a bale.

We also sold one lot of 55 bales of straw for $1.85 a bale.

Policies and Procedures

Hope to see you at the horse sale on Saturday!

If you are planning to bring a horse, bring any registration papers and/or current coggins. We can fill out paperwork when you get to the sale barn (preferably before 11 a.m.).

If you do not have a current coggins (within a year of sale date), we have a vet on premises that will pull blood after the horse sells.

A halter and lead rope will need to go with your horse. Horses sell better when they are groomed and shown at their best. Please ride or drive them through the auction ring if possible. We can arrange for someone to ride your horse if necessary, but you will need to bring tack with you.

If your horse does not bring your reserve price, all you need to say is “No Sale” while in the auction ring. You would then be responsible for paying the $30 consignment fee before taking your horse back home.

Horse Consignment Fee: $30

Coggins Fee: $25

Horse Commission: 6%

Hay/Straw Consignment Fee: $10 per lot

Hay/Straw Commission: 65

Machinery Commission: 6%

Used Tack Commission: 20%

Checks can be picked up the day of the sale as long as all paperwork is in order. Otherwise, checks will be mailed the week after the sale.
